Hello Loma Verde Wildcats! Welcome to our Loma Verde School blog. This is the 7th week of school. We are continuing in distance learning format for our preschool through 6th grade students. Please read below for important information.
When Will We Reopen Schools for Live Instruction?

Although our goal of a phased return to in-person instruction was proposed for October 26, 2020, our District will take extra precautions and postpone the reopening because COVID-19 transmission rates in our boundaries are still too high. We want to give you notice now of our decision. We remain committed to a safe return when the data in our boundary area supports resuming at least a hybrid form of in-person instruction. In the meantime, we will continue working with our bargaining groups and stakeholders to ensure a safe reopening at a future date.

As we prepare for the eventual return of some students to campus in phases, our District and school will be enforcing the four core principles (also known as four pillars) for the prevention of COVID-19. These include: 1) Daily Health Screenings, 2) Mask Wearing, 3) Physical Distancing, and 4) Frequent Hand Washing.

TECHNOLOGY TIPS AND SUPPORT

Because our students are using devices for Distance Learning daily, it is important to be sure they are working well. Please remind our Wildcat students to shut down their devices each day. It also completely exits the we browser which helps ensure optimum performance. We are available to support you with technology issue that persist after shutting down the device. We are happy to answer questions you have over the phone: (619) 420-3940 or in person between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. If you have a school laptop that is not working properly, please feel free to stop by or call for support.
