This year the Chula Vista Elementary School District is focusing on nurturing relationships through GRATITUDE. As the principal of Loma Verde, I am so grateful for the wonderful staff, our amazing students and their families, and the community. I am very excited to lead this school and look forward to an amazing year!

Scholastic Book Fair October 22-26, 2018 Students will preview the book fair on Monday. The book fair will be open for sales Tuesday – Friday.
10/26 Jump Rope for Heart Event 8:15-9:15 Please collect your pledges and click here to Register Online . Donation forms and money need to be returned to your teacher on 10/26.
10/26 Bike Rodeo 1:30-3:00 Loma Verde Rodeo flyer Bring your bike and helmet to participate in this great event where everyone will improve their bike skills. Let’s show how it’s done! Let’s have fun! Students must have a signed permission slip to participate.
10/27 Saturday Scholars 9:00-1:00 at Loma Verde.
IMPORTANT NEW GATE PROCEDURES: SAFETY is our number 1 priority The front gate and back gate will open at 2:30 pm Monday-Thursday and at 1:00 on Friday. If any parent/guardian would like to come on campus during the school day, they must check into the main office (with ID) and get a visitor pass. Thank you for understanding that we need to know who is on campus during the school day.
PARENT ACADEMY – Thank you to all our Loma Verde families that joined us for the 4th Annual Parent Academy on 10/13! We appreciate you joining us for a great day of learning!
Upcoming Events:
10/30 DAC/DELAC Parent Training 11:00-11:45 and Committee Meeting 12:00-2:00. We meet at the CVESD District Office room C.
10/31 Character Parade 1:45-2:20 on the blacktop. More information to come out this week.
11/1 Coffee with the Principal/Parent Volunteer Training 8:15-9:00 in the auditorium.
11/2 Fall Festival 3:00-6:00 Food – Music – Games – Fun! $1 food tickets, $0.50 game tickets, $10.00 play wristband. Food and game packages are available. We hope to see you! Volunteers are needed. Please contact your child’s teacher or the office if you are able to help.
11/5 ELAC Meeting 8:15-9:15 Topic: English Learner Reclassification information. All parent are welcome. Interpretation available in Spanish.
