Loma Verde Holiday Spirit Theme Day
Friday, Dec. 20: “Holiday Shirt/Holiday Sweater Day” Wear your favorite holiday shirt or sweater today.

- Check the Lost & Found before the end of the day on Friday, December 20. We also have many pairs of glasses that have been turned into the office. Stop by to claim your child’s missing glasses.
- Food Donations for classroom parties must be approved by the teacher ahead of time. All food must be store-bought.
- School starts at 8:00 am. Students should be on the blacktop, ready to start at this time. Please drop off your child no later than 7:55 am to ensure he/she is ready for the day.
- Students who are not picked up by 2:45 pm will check into the office for safety reasons. Parents/Guardians will check students out of the office.
- Please use extra patience in and around the parking lot.
Would you like to donate something to your child’s classroom? Here are a few items that can be donated:
- A pack of white copy paper
- post-its
- dry erase markers
- box of tissue
- P.E. equipment for classroom PE use: jump ropes. playground balls, basketballs, and soccer balls. Check with your child’s teacher to find out if they need other items for student use.

Friday, Dec. 13: Hour of Code Activities K-6 Loma Verde will be coding on 12/13. Upper-grade classrooms are teaming up with primary students to code together. This is an exciting event and part of an international Hour of Code that schools are taking part in around the world! Check out the 




The Chula Vista Welfare Council, the Chula Vista Elementary School District, and the Chula Vista Police Action League will all be working together to collect new unwrapped toys for needy children. Please drop off new toys between November 4 and December 4 in our office. All the toys will be donated to the Welfare council for later distribution. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Thank you for all your donations for our Community Connect Bags. Our student leaders and parent volunteers worked with our cohort schools to assemble over 2000 bags for those in need! If you would like to pick up a few bags to distribute to those in need this month, please stop by our office to pick up a few bags. We would like to distribute the bags during the month of December to support the homeless or other needy individuals in our area.
