4th graders experienced the Green Machine last Friday with interactive lessons to help students understand where food comes from and why a healthy environment is important to good nutrition. It’s a field trip that comes to schools that guides students through three experiential “seed-to-table” learning stations that reinforce classroom learning.

ELPAC TESTING

Is your child an English Language Learner? Did you know that all our English Language Learners will be participating in the ELPAC assessment in the upcoming weeks? ELPAC stands for the English Language Proficiency Assessment for California. You can take a practice test with your child here: ELPAC Practice Tests. Please ensure your children are well rested, well fed, and prepared to show all the English they know on the ELPAC assessment.

Please let your friends and neighbors know that TK and Kindergarten registration packets will be available on Wednesday, February 6th. Registration packets will be accepted on Wednesday, February 20th. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding registration for the 2019 -2020 school year.

KINDERGARTEN READINESS MEETING

Our CVESD district is getting ready to welcome a new group of eager TK and K students for the 2019-2020 school year. We encourage the parents of eligible TK and K students to attend the upcoming orientation scheduled for Monday, February 4th.
