The Wildcat Way Oct. 5-9, 2026 (Week #11)

Welcome Back, Loma Verde Families!

We are excited to welcome our students and families back for Quarter 2 of the 2026-2027 school year! We look forward to another quarter filled with engaging learning experiences, meaningful opportunities, and memorable moments for our Wildcats. Be sure to visit our school blog regularly for important updates, upcoming events, and school news.

School resumes on Tuesday, October 6. Please note that this will be a minimum day, with dismissal at 12:45 p.m. for TK and Kindergarten and 1:00 p.m. for grades 1-6.

Students in TK through 6th grade begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Arriving on time each day helps students start their learning right away and builds positive habits that support academic success. Consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in student achievement, and every school day provides valuable opportunities for learning, growth, and connection.

Let’s make Quarter 2 a great one! We are excited to welcome our Loma Verde Wildcats back to campus and look forward to a successful quarter together.

Birthday Celebrations & CVESD Wellness Policy

At CVESD, we’re proud to support student health and safety through our Wellness Policy. As part of this commitment, we kindly ask that no celebratory food items be brought to school during the day for birthday celebrations. English Wellness Policy Spanish Wellness Policy

Please also avoid making arrangements to distribute food before or after school on campus. Many of our students have food allergies, and even a small exposure—such as to peanuts—can cause a serious reaction in just seconds.

Instead, we encourage fun and creative non-food ways to celebrate, like special pencils, stickers, or a classroom activity. These alternatives help ensure every Wildcat stays safe and included.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, healthy, and joyful environment for all!

Please Monitor What Your Child Watches on TV, Videos, and Games

Parents and guardians, you play a key role in helping us create a safe and respectful environment at school. One way to support this is by monitoring the videos, shows, and games your child watches and plays.

🎮📺 Some media may include content that isn’t suitable for young children, and we want to ensure that all students feel safe and comfortable at school. Play fighting, simulating weapons, or discussing inappropriate content is not allowed on campus.

For helpful tips and reviews, Common Sense Media is a fantastic resource for navigating parenting in the digital age. Thank you for helping us build a kind, peaceful, and inclusive community for all Wildcats!
