Home Access Center/CAASPP Scores
Accessing Student Score Reports via Home Access Center (HAC)
The Chula Vista Elementary School District uses the Home Access Center (HAC) to share Student Score Reports for both the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the English Learner Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC). These assessments, when combined with report card grades, classroom work, and teacher observations, provide families and educators with a more comprehensive understanding of each student’s learning progress.
Accessing Student Summary Reports for ELPAC and CAASPP
Through HAC, parents and guardians can securely view, download, and save student results quickly and conveniently. [Click here for instructions on how to log in to the Home Access Center.]
If you experience any issues logging in, please contact our front office for assistance. Please note that hard copies of score reports are not provided by the school—all results are available exclusively through the HAC system.
Multilingual English Learner Services
Loma Verde Elementary and the Chula Vista Elementary School District support Multilingual English Learners (formerly known as English Language Learners). All students classified by the state of California as MEL status participate in daily designated and integrated ELD, or English Language Development. This often looks like extra small group or one-on-one support. Please see the information below and contact your child’s teacher with any questions.

Join Our PTO and Make a Difference!
Join the Loma Verde PTO and Help Make This Year Amazing!
We need your support to make this school year truly special for our Loma Verde students! By joining the PTO, you’ll help support school events, family activities, fundraisers, and programs that enrich our students’ educational experience.
PTO membership dues directly fund important opportunities such as field trips, classroom supplies, assemblies, guest speakers, and other student-centered programs. Every dollar stays at Loma Verde and directly benefits our students.
Membership is just $25 per family and includes a free Loma Verde t-shirt!
The membership drive begins this week, and registration information can be found in your Back-to-School Packet.
Our goal is 100% participation from both staff and families. Together, we can make this an unforgettable year for our students. Thank you for your support and partnership!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
LET’S IMPROVE OUR ATTENDANCE AT LOMA VERDE THIS YEAR!
Attendance is crucial for your child’s success. Students should only miss school if they are sick. If your child has symptoms, they can return to school once they have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication, and their symptoms are improving. Students do not need to be completely symptom-free to return. If you need independent study for a special circumstance, please contact us.

Arriving on Time
Please ensure your child arrives by 7:55 a.m. and is lined up on the blacktop (for 2nd–6th grade) or in the auditorium (for Kindergarten-1st grade). If they arrive after 8:00 a.m., students will be marked tardy.
Secure Campus Reminder
At 8:00 a.m., we begin a secure campus. Parents and guardians must exit promptly at the 7:55 AM bell. We appreciate your cooperation!
School Arrival Times
Students can arrive as early as 7:15 a.m.
FREE breakfast is available from 7:15 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. If students miss breakfast, Second Chance Breakfast is available during the first recess.
Reporting Absences
If your child is absent, it is important to call the office to report the reason for the absence at 619-420-3940. You can leave a voicemail or email us at lomaverdeschool@cvesd.org.
Absences that are not reported will be considered unexcused. After 3 unexcused absences or tardies, you will receive a truancy letter.
Early Pick-Up and Tardiness
If you pick up your child early or if they are tardy for personal reasons, this will be considered unexcused unless a valid reason (ex. doctor’s note) is provided. We encourage you to schedule appointments during school breaks when possible.
Missing School Means Missing Learning!
Our school staff will be monitoring attendance closely. For students who are chronically absent (missing 10% or more of school or having excessive tardies), we will schedule SART (School Attendance Review Team) meetings, make phone calls, and conduct home visits to support improved attendance.
We truly appreciate your efforts in getting your child to school every day and on time!
Week #4 TK-6th grade attendance average: 97% (Goal is 97% or higher)
Year-to-date (7/27/26-8/14/26) average attendance: 97% (Goal is 97%)

Week #4 Highest Attendance
- 99% Ms. Youssofi – 6th grade
- 98.9% Ms. Murdoch – 6th grade
- 98.1% Ms. Lloyd – TK
Week #4 Most Improved Attendance
- Mr. Lopez – kinder
- Ms. Montaño – 2nd grade

Gently Used Uniforms Needed
Has your child outgrown their school uniform from last year? The Loma Verde Health Office needs donations of clean uniform clothes to have on hand for children who need to change clothes. If you have any clean children’s uniform shirts, shorts, pants, or skirts that you no longer need, please bring them to the health office.

BREAKFAST & SNACKS: FREE breakfast is available for all students from 7:15-7:55. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack from home to eat at morning recess. Students may NOT share food at school. All students eat free lunch. Click here to see the breakfast and lunch menus and nutritional information.
