The Wildcat Way – January 25-29, 2021 (Week 19)

Hello Loma Verde Wildcat families!

Although there is not a set date to reopen Loma Verde Elementary, we need your help. Please to read the Hybrid Return to Learning Survey Parent Letter regarding safe reopening and complete this SURVEY for each one of your children regarding your plans when we do reopen. It is important we receive your responses by Monday, Jan. 25. All students who do not have a survey completed by 1/25/21 will be placed in a distance learning class. Thank you for your help in working towards getting our Loma Verde Wildcat students back in the classroom!

important

Zone Transfer forms (ZTs) must be completed each year in order to have your child continue at Loma Verde Elementary School.  Please complete the ZT form and email it to lomaverdeschool@cvesd.org or stop by the school to fill out a paper copy of the form by February 5, 2021.  If you have any questions or need assistance completing the form, please feel free to contact the school office at (619) 420-3940.  If your child will not be returning to Loma Verde Elementary School, please let us know that as well. Parents of current sixth grade students on a zone transfer do not need to do this step.

The CVESD Caring Crew and YOU!

We would like to remind our entire community that following the four pillars of health can prevent the spread of COVID-19. As we prepare for the eventual return of some students to campus in phases, our District and school will be enforcing the four core principles (also known as four pillars) for the prevention of COVID-19. These include: 1) Daily Health Screenings, 2) Mask Wearing, 3) Physical Distancing, and 4) Frequent Hand Washing.

Computer Devices & WIFI to Loan Families

We recommend each student have their own laptop with a camera and microphone for Distance Learning.  Some tablets have compatibility issues with the Microsoft Teams platform and online learning programs.

If your child needs a device or wifi hotspot, please complete and submit this form below, so we can plan and prepare the devices for distribution.  If you do not need a device or hotspot, please do not fill out this form. Please fill out a form for each child who needs a device.  Do not fill out for a child who previously received a device.  We will notify you when you device and/or WIFI hotspot are ready.
