Hello Loma Verde Families and Staff,
This is a courtesy notice sent to all school community members by email. Our campus is very safe and our safety procedures appear to be working.
Anytime there is a case of COVID-19, it is a good reminder to review our safety measures… Please continue to mask up, maintain physical distancing when possible, and wash your hands/sanitize the spaces you use. It is also recommended that all staff use air filtration devices (with the timers and set to use the ionizer feature). A friendly reminder that if anyone (staff or student) presents with any symptom of COVID-19 at school, they must go home.

Out of an abundance of caution and in alignment with California state law, I am hereby informing you that the District learned an individual at school tested positive for the virus that causes COVID-19. This individual is currently in isolation and all staff members and students who may have been affected have already been contacted.
If you have not already been notified that you are a close contact by me or Nurse Linda, at this time, you are NOT considered a close contact with a person who recently tested positive for the virus.
Please read the attached letter from the district’s Emergency Preparedness Office regarding an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 recently and was on Loma Verde’s campus on 11/18/21.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office at (619) 420-3940.
Warmly,
Bree Watson, Principal
