Birthday Celebrations & CVESD Wellness Policy

CVESD has a Wellness Policy: Birthday Celebrations- No celebratory food items will be allowed on school sites during the school day in celebration of a student’s birthday. Please do not make arrangements to give students food items before or after school on the property. Some students have allergies. All it takes is for a student to eat an item with peanuts and they can become very ill in a matter of seconds. Help us keep all Wildcats safe by following the CVESD Wellness Policy.

Please Monitor What Your Child Watches on TV, Videos, and Games

Parents and guardians, you can help build a peaceful school community. Please monitor the videos, shows, and games your child is viewing and playing. Common Sense Media is a great resource for parents to learn parenting tips for the digital age. Acting out or discussing inappropriate content is not permitted at school. Play fighting or simulating a weapon is not allowed at school.

Birthday Celebrations & CVESD Wellness Policy

Celebrating Birthdays the Healthy Way at CVESD 🎉🍎

At CVESD, we’re proud to support student health and safety through our Wellness Policy. As part of this commitment, we kindly ask that no celebratory food items be brought to school during the day for birthday celebrations. English Wellness Policy Spanish Wellness Policy

Please also avoid making arrangements to distribute food before or after school on campus. Many of our students have food allergies, and even a small exposure—such as to peanuts—can cause a serious reaction in just seconds.

🎈 Instead, we encourage fun and creative non-food ways to celebrate, like special pencils, stickers, or a classroom activity. These alternatives help ensure every Wildcat stays safe and included.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, healthy, and joyful environment for all!

Please Monitor What Your Child Watches on TV, Videos, and Games

Partnering for a Peaceful School Community 🌟

Parents and guardians, you play a key role in helping us create a safe and respectful environment at school. One way to support this is by monitoring the videos, shows, and games your child watches and plays.

🎮📺 Some media may include content that isn’t suitable for young children, and we want to ensure that all students feel safe and comfortable at school. Play fighting, simulating weapons, or discussing inappropriate content is not allowed on campus.

For helpful tips and reviews, Common Sense Media is a fantastic resource for navigating parenting in the digital age. Thank you for helping us build a kind, peaceful, and inclusive community for all Wildcats!
