Happy Labor Day!
There will be no school on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day.

We’re now in Week 7 of school, and teachers will be sending home information this week about Parent-Teacher Conference sign-ups, which will take place September 11–18.

LOMA VERDE SPIRIT GEAR IS FOR SALE!

We are selling Loma Verde spirit shirts and hoodies at school. The T-shirts are $13 and the sweatshirts cost $33. (Cash only at this time.) Students can wear the spirit t-shirts and sweatshirts any day of the week OR the uniform shirt. Order forms can be picked up in the office or click here. Let’s show our school spirit, Wildcats! Please make sure to write your child’s first and last name inside their hoodie.

Gently Used Uniforms Needed

Has your child outgrown their school uniform from last year? The Loma Verde Health Office needs donations of clean uniform clothes to have on hand for children who need to change clothes. If you have any clean children’s uniform shirts, shorts, pants, or skirts that you no longer need, please bring them to the health office.

Join Our PTO and Make a Difference!

We need your support to make this school year truly special for our Loma Verde students! By joining our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), you’ll play a vital role in supporting school events, fundraisers, and more.

💡 Your membership dues directly fund essential programs such as:

  • Field trips
  • Classroom supplies
  • Guest speakers
  • Assemblies
  • And much more — all benefiting OUR STUDENTS!

🎉 Membership is just $5 per individual or $10 per family.
The membership drive is happening now! A flyer was included in your back-to-school packet, and additional copies are available in the front office.

Exciting Incentives!

  • Classes with 50% participation by September 18, 2025, will earn a popcorn party!
  • The top 3 classes (Preschool–6th grade) will win a pizza party!

Our goal is full participation from both families and staff. Let’s work together to make this year unforgettable for our Wildcats! Thank you for your continued support!

Join us for our next PTO meeting on Friday, 9/5 at 8:30 in the parent room #403. English/Spanish translation and light refreshments will be served. All are welcome!

Important School Policies and Reminders

  • 📘 Stay Informed Click on the LV 2025–26 Parent-Student Handbook for everything you need to know about school policies, procedures, and resources.
  • Uniform Policy: Students must wear their school uniform daily unless a Uniform Waiver has been submitted to the office.
  • Toys and Electronics: Students should not bring toys, cards, or unnecessary gadgets unless they have been approved by the classroom teacher.
  • Water Bottles: Please only send plain water in student water bottles. No Gatorade, Prime, juice, etc., as these beverages stain carpets and attract pests. We have a new bottle filler next to room 406 to fill up water bottles.
  • Food Sharing: No sharing of food is allowed.
  • No Gum or Candy: Please ensure that students do not bring gum or candy to school.
  • Label Personal Items: Be sure to label lunch boxes, water bottles, and sweaters with your child’s name to help ensure they are returned if misplaced.

REMINDER: Students need to be at school every day, arrive on time (before 8:00 a.m.), and stay in school for the entire day.

Donations Needed!

DONATION NEEDED for cases of water for our classrooms.  If you are able to donate a case of water, please drop it off at the school office between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.  Thank you!

Lost and Found

LOST AND FOUND

Please note that the lost and found rack will be at the front of the school by the office.   Remember to use a permanent marker to put your child’s name on jackets, sweaters, lunch bags, and water bottles. 

BREAKFAST & SNACKS: FREE breakfast is available for all students from 7:15-7:55. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack from home to eat at morning recess.
